1. Capacity fee

A small one-time fee is paid to Clerk of Court if paying over time.

2. Sewer Deferred Standby Fee

$8.28 per month from December 2003 until date of application for service. This fee is paid in full at the time application for service is completed.

 

 This fee can be financed in full or part by Sarasota County upon request along with the Sewer Capacity Fee shown above.

3. Non ad valorem assessment (MSBU annual assessment)

This fee is automatically billed on the annual property tax. The owner will need to do nothing to set it up. This assessment stays with the property even if sold and does not have to be paid in full anytime during the term.

$19 billed monthly starting one year after notification that sewer service is available even if not connected.

Amount will be based on grants received and the final, actual cost of installing the sewer facilities. The term/years this fee will be billed has not yet been determined as the final construction cost is not known but is anticipated to be 20 - 25 years.

 A single family home equals a $13.48 base charge per month with no usage. Usage charges start at $6.82 per 1,000 gallons capped at 10,000 gallons.

A two person household generally will see a sewer bill of $33 to $55 per month (not including water).
